Join sound practitioners Kiko (they/she) and Charlie (they/them) for an in-person sound meditation immersion. Sound meditations can be deeply supportive listening tools to nourish the imagination, develop sensorial presence, and help us find fuller spaces of rest. Folks will leave this weekend with a greater understanding of how to work with sound in an intelligent, intentional way through hands-on experience and knowledge sharing with two senior sound practitioners. This weekend is created new sound enthusiasts and experienced practitioners alike. You will receive a 15 hour sound certificate at the end of the training.

Our time will be spent together at the intimate Kikospace in Toronto. For personal attention, we will have a limited amount of 13 spaces available.
Payment plans are available. Please reach out to coordinate details.
You do not need any instruments to participate. You will have access to all the instruments at Kikospace during the training to practice with (crystal bowls, chimes, gongs, shruti, sansula, rattles, drums). For those wanting their own instruments, all Sound Students will receive 22% off all instruments at Kikospace from the time of registration until Nov 30, 2023.
About Charlie Gates:
Their work in the world is weaving together the threads of sound, somatic movement, poetry and myth to create regenerative resting grounds that nourish the imagination and cultivate a sense of enchantment through deep listening. They are a student of Classical Tantra, folklore, mythopoetics, and somatics.
Kiko (she/they) creates portals for deeper listening through installation, sound making, meditation and restorative practices. They currently facilitate private and group sound bath experiences, and offer retreats, workshops, trainings that explore the art and science of sound.
Kiko's has studied extensively and completed teacher trainings in therapeutic sound, meditation and yoga (specializing in restorative and nidra practices). They are a graduate of the Contemplative Psychotherapy certificate program through the Nalanda Institute (NYC). As a lifelong student and seeker, Kiko continues to learn in the healing arts of sound, music, meditation, plant medicine and practical magic with teachers from Brazil, India, Ireland and Turtle Island. Kiko is currently a student in Fides Krucker's teacher training program for Emotionally Integrated Voice and mentors with Ally Bogard.
Kiko identifies as Queer and Non Binary, and is a settler of European descent, primarily Irish, German and Ukrainian. More recently Kiko has been strengthening their relationship to their Irish lineage, studying and practicing within the rhythms of the Celtic Wheel. Kiko currently resides between Tkaronto ~ the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy (the Six Nations), the Wendat, the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. And Saskatoon ~ colonially known as Treaty Six Land, the traditional homeland of many First Nations including Cree, Dene, Plains Cree, Nakota, Saulteaux, and Ojibwe and Metis Nation.
Kiko is deeply devoted to listening, learning and honoring nature through personal ritual and offerings. All begins with acknowledging the privilege of getting to practice on this land, the necessity of care and the responsibility we have to ourselves, the earth and each other.
